Valle di Ledro, beaches around Lake Ledro and the villages - THE TRIUMPH OF MUSIC
One of the most important european events, made to spread out music and culture. This is the Fete de la Musique which takes place on the 21st of June, day of the Summer solstice.
A big cultural event during which musicians, professional and not, play on unusual stages: streets, squares, courtyards, alleys...
The event was born in France in 1982 and now the Fete de la Musique takes place in more than 60 european cities and 400 around the world.

Mountain Walks Programm
Those, who want to get to know the territory, the history and the traditions of Val di Ledro should take part at the "Settimane Natura" Mountain Walks.
From May to September the local Tourist Board organizes free walks with guide to visit the best and most interesting spots of Ledro. Both families and hikers can find a suitable walk: Tuesdays and Fridays half day walks, Wednesdays daily mountain hikes, easy from the technical point of view, nevertheless the difference in level and the walking time require a certain training.
Every week, a special historical, naturalistic or artistic aspect of Val di Ledro is shown up. There are weeks dedicated to the Third Independence War of Italy and the Great War, which left trenches and galleries on both mountainsides of the valley; the old Trades, which characterized the economy of the valley in the past centuries; the Art, particularly the religious one; the nature, which varies from the Mediterranean to the alpine one, rich in endemic flowers; the animals, such as bees and beehives, the cows and the goats on the alpine pastures, and the birds' migration.

Water, air, earth and fire! Choose your element and have fun practising your favourite sport, or even trying out some new ones such as canyoning, paragliding, or sailing... you'll be spoiled for choice!

Paragliding
From over there everything is different and what looks so important "on the ground", has another value from the sky. At the end of the 80's many people in Val di Ledro started practicing a new sport: the paragliding. It is very easy to learn and the technological improvements makes it safer and new performances are now possible. A misterious call persuades many to try paragliding and, every time that you fly off, you find yourself immersed in a new world, full of charm and always amazing.
There are several take-off points in the valley, differing in panorama and technical difficulty.

Canyoning
An exciting adventure to discover hidden places sliding and jumping in the fresh water of the river. Canyoning is a new sport which consists in the descent of waterfalls and gorges: a full immersion in the most hidden nature. In the Ledro valley there are two torrents, where you can do it and both are in the Ampola valley. One is the Palvico torrent, emissary of lake Ampola which descends to Storo. It is ideal for those who try canyoning for the first time because it is not too long and difficult.
The other one is Rio Nero, which descends from Tremalzo. It lasts more and it is more demanding from the technical point of view. Several agencies organize daily tours, and provide you all the equipment, you just have to wear good sport shoes, your swimming costume and take with you a towel.

Horse Riding
The natural environment of Val di Ledro is perfect for nice horse ridings immersed in the luxuriant nature, surrounded by the greenery of the woods and mountains. In the area there are two manages, one in Pur, on the southern side of the Lake, and one in Val Concei, toward Rifugio al Faggio.

Walking and trekking
Walking and Trekking are the most followed activities in Valle di Ledro. The Mountains, not so high, allow you to make interesting walks from the naturalistic and landscape points of view.Val di Ledro, which is suspended between lakes Garda and Idro, has a varied morphology. In the northern side there is a beautiful crown of mountains, from where stands out the Monte Cadria, the highest peak of the Alps of Ledro (2254 m). About long excursions, for expert hikers, we suggest the "Sentiero della Pace" (Path of Peace), which goes along the mountain peaks of  Val Concei, from Passo Trat to Monte Cadria. The path allows you to see many of the Austrian military trenches built during the WWI and it can be covered in more than one day. This mountain area is wild and unpolluted, that is why there are no big tourist or many alpine facilities.
On the southern side you find the Carone-Tremalzo-Tombea groups, particularly interesting from the botanical point of view and for the several excursion possibilities to Valvestino and the province of Brescia.Moreover, along the valley floor you can also make pleasant and relaxing excursions with a difference in level not relevant.The walk around the lake is completely level and suitable for all the people offering you marvellous views on the landscapes surroundings. Val Concei and Val di Pur, for example, allow you to walk in complete relax, encircled from the green of woods and nature.

Sailing Association Lago di Ledro
The association was founded in 1960 by a group of local people and guests of the Ledro Valley very keen on sailing. In 1984 it obtained the affiliation to the FIV (the Italian Sailing Association) and now the members are about 150.
Thanks to its orography, the Lake Ledro is considered the ideal place for team and round robin match race regattas. The wind that blows from the East and starts at about 10,30 a.m. till 4,30 p.m., makes the waters of Ledro a privileged lake for regattas.The 27th of June 2004, the new sailing centre has been opened in Pieve di Ledro. It is equipped with new wharf for anchorage, slipway, davit and all the facilities necessary for sailing.
